Our Range Safety Officer Course is a training program designed for individuals who are interested in becoming a Range Safety Officer, learning more about shooting range safety and firearms safety in general or are already employed working or volunteering at firing range and would benefit with the certification.

The course is taught by a NRA Certified Instructor and Chief Range Safety Officer.

This course covers Firing Range SOPs, both indoor and outdoor range type operations, range safety procedures and rules, emergency procedures, safely loading and unloading all firearms types that the RSO may come in contact with and how to both assist the the shooter or personally clear stoppages and malfunctions and much more.

Participants in the RSO class are required to participate in live drills and demonstrations of required skills and complete a written exam. This class is fun and interactive.

Upon successful completion, you would be eligible to be certified by the NRA as a Range Safety Officer. This training is also a prerequisite to become a Chief Range Safety Officer (along with NRA Basic Instructor Certification).

If you are interested in obtaining a Range Safety Officer Certification, we highly recommend that you enroll in an in-person class. It is a great way to learn about firing range safety and standard operating procedures (SOP), firearms types and functions and firearm safety from experienced professionals.
